Doing Blogging Instead of Job – An Important Decision

Most of the parents want their children to be well settled and that’s why they always advise their children to find a good job.

Bloggers don’t want to do a job as they are more interested in blogging. Bloggers are more interested in earning money online as they find that many good opportunities are available for them in the online world.

While doing studies, we may do blogging as a part-time activity, but the question which always keeps knocking the mind of many bloggers is – Will I be able to give time for blogging after completion of my studies?

Pressure from parents, relatives sometimes leads to massive confusion in the mind of many bloggers. Parents and relatives may never understand that why you’re so much addicted to blogging.

After completing their studies most of the bloggers have only one particular question in their mind – “Should I become a Full-Time Blogger or continue doing it as a part-time hobby?

When I started blogging, I was also very confused about this. Henceforth, I asked the same question to many pro-bloggers and I got to know the perfect answer.

Even if we love blogging a lot, we should continue doing blogging as a part-time activity until blogging starts giving better income than what we can get from a job.

One of the reasons to not rely totally on blogging is that blogging doesn’t provide guaranteed income and there can be fluctuation in the income earned from month to month.

Scope in Blogging

The scope of blogging has increased, and it’ll keep increasing more in the future. Companies regularly contact bloggers for writing about their products which means that blogging is now a very important platform for advertising and promotion.

Even if you have not started a blog of yours, then you can earn money by freelancing. Content writers, logo designers, theme developers, etc are able to earn good money because of bloggers and webmasters.

Bloggers regularly need the service from such freelancers as bloggers sometimes due to lack of time are unable to do everything on their own.

Nowadays many bloggers are now thinking about diversifying their income by trying out affiliate marketing, planning to have their own startup, etc. Even if bloggers try out so many things to increase their income, the never-ending passion for blogging makes them regularly update their blogs.

SEO and Social Media Marketing

As per me, the 2 most important things which most bloggers should try to improve at are SEO and Social Media Marketing.

I’ll like to consider SEO and Social Media Marketing as integral parts of blogging. Newbies fail to get success in blogging mainly because they don’t have complete knowledge about SEO and Social Media Marketing.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a very important thing for most pro-bloggers as without proper SEO getting good search engine traffic can be very difficult. SEO includes ON Page SEO, OFF Page SEO, Targeting the Right Keywords, and much more.

There is so much to learn about SEO is that even a year maybe less. Some of the SEO experts earn much more than pro-bloggers, this is the reason that I’ll recommend every newbie to immediately start gaining more and more knowledge about SEO.

Branding – Is It Important?

Ever thought that why popular brands earn more than unpopular brands? Branding is now an important thing for many bloggers. For making your blog become a brand you’ll need to have a good domain name, perfect logo, attractive design, high-quality content, and much more.

Newbies shouldn’t look for instant income and try to build a brand by promoting their blog in the best way. For making your blog become a brand you’ll need to work very hard for few months or even a year. Some pro-bloggers have already been successful in making their blog the new identity for themselves.

I’ll definitely like to know that whether branding is an important thing for you as a blogger and you can also mention the strategies which you’re implementing for making your blog more famous.

Conclusion – Blogging is a Good Option But it is a Risk

Everyone may not become a very successful blogger, and that’s why you should be careful when you think about shifting to full-time blogging.

Blogging is risky because the income can very fluctuating. If you rely on it fully, then you should have a backup plan available.

The best time to shift to full-time blogging is when you have already earned a decent amount from blogging. At the same time, your current income from blogging should be good enough to sustain in this world where inflation is a huge problem.

I know some people who have made the best out of their decision, whereas some people were badly affected due to inconsistent income, and they had to switch back to a full-time job.

The craze for blogging, scope involved and the other reasons have already made many bloggers give up their job so that they can start full-time blogging. Even if currently you may doing blogging as a part-time activity, your determination and skills may soon transform you into a full-time blogger in the future.
